I'm trying to find some pictures of the new Bowler - being prepped for the 07 edition of the Dakar. This one's based on the Range Rover Sport AFAIK they are building two versions. One is kitted out with the V6 Turbo diesel and the other with the DOHC V8  - No more solid axles - they are going fully independant front and rear. The Bowlers may even finish higher than the top 20 this year :D

Thank you sir :) Going to give Drew a call next week to see what the deal is. Definitely a nice looking ride - glad they have gone for composite body banels this time round.

The latest news is that the Nemesis will not be in the Dakar, but will debut in some of the Baja's next year.

About a weeke ago there was an older one on eBay, it was in SanFran, I actually watched it for a bit, since the bidding was started out at $3000. But that changed and I think it went for 12k. Not to hijack, but I didn't even think there were any of these in the states.

Yeah - I was bidding on it for a while but gave up. Couldn't get a straight answer out of anyone about it being legal to race in SCORE

Damn that thing looks sweet - hope Ford/LR pony up and give the Bowler team some serious Factory support. Would be good to get some WRC drivers piloting that beastie.

I'll bet one of those Bowlers would make a very cool pre-runner if score won't let you race it. Anybody know the price range on it? I saw an article that said Range Rover is thinking about bringing the Defender 90 with a turbo diesel back to the U.S. Maybe that would make the Bowler Score legal.

If your looking for an older Range Rover based Bowler or Tomcat, let me know. They come up for sale here occasionally and I could help you get it back to the states. I used to send 4 or 5 old Land Rovers a year back. Trick to getting them in the states is to have it registered as a 25 year old Range Rover to get it grandfathered. Wont be cheap though, I'm getting killed on the exchange rate. Its. 2.02 dollars to the pound sterling today:eek:
