On my way to the CODE race last night I got in an accident

Wondering if anyone knows of a good body shop in San Diego that can work on my 2000 Tacoma 4x4

I pretty much need a bumper, hood, right fender and corner light

thanks in advance

Call my good friends, Gabriel & Sheri Hernandez, at California Auto Body and Frame in National City. I used to share a shop with them 18 years ago and they continue to sponsor and paint our race vehicles. Gabriel told me he was going to be at the CODE race but I didn't see him, he is putting together a 5-1600 with a friend to start racing. Tell him I said to call.

Ramsey, thanks alot for your recommendation

Just got off the phone with my insurance and luckily my deductible got waived becuase I got in an accident with a driver who has the same insurance

I decided to just let my insurance take care of everything since it's all paid for by them, there's a tow truck on it's way to come pick it up

thanks again

Man, just because your insurance is taking care of it you really need to treat them like a snake (after all, they're in the game to make money). I would find the 3 best auto shops you can find and get quotes from them and then insist on having one of them do it. The value of your vehicle just went down (which they won't compensate you for) so you might as well at least get the best body work possible.

I thought about that all weekend long and was going to shop around

But since I dont have a deductible the only thing left for me to worry about was get it in a shop and get it done asap. It's my only form of transportation and as much as I would have liked to take it to my own shop, I just wanted it in a shop period and being worked on.

I spoke with the people who took it "All American Paint and Body" and they seemed pretty cool, since the insurance is picking up the tab on everything I let them recommend someone and that's who I went with.

I posted this on Friday I believe and thank those of you who replied, but another day with my truck in my driveway and I think I would have gone insane:(
