Cool article and pics, but they really need to go back and check their info. The Dakar definetly isn't 700 miles.

Very cool find...They missed a zero(7000)
The slide show...Is that a pic of RG in 1987? Or is that Bob and Ryan?

Who wrote this, a nine year old?
"The Baja 1000, where over one thousand trucks, dune buggies and bikes are expected"?
I better warn Sal there's gonna be a thousand entries. And the line is supposed to be that riding in the Baja 1000 is like a 24 hour plane crash, not a 24 hour ICE-HOCKEY GAME.
And their NASCAR statistics claim ten fatalities in 17 years. Seems pretty good for 40-odd drivers times 32 races per season tailgating each other for hundreds of miles at 200 mph. NASCAR has more people die from choking on hot dogs or falling off their motorhomes.

I concur... But hey... Baja 1000 front and center on Forbes.com not bad!
