I have found a couple places on the internet that have these seat for sale between $125 & $129 each. They come in black cloth insert & black vinyl and gray combo. Has anyone bought these or seen these seats? I have a play/prerun buggy project and need some seats soon! thanks

They look okay. I believe I've seen them in the EMPI catalog. They (EMPI) also make a microstub kit that looks cool too. I dont know about its strength and durability as I wouldn't run a lot of their stuff, but the seats looked fine to me. Never seen one. It's better than a poly seat though and so for a play car it probably couldn't hurt.

I have a set in my Cherokee. They fit fine. Same as beard seats.

Check out PRP seats. Roughly the same price and depending how big your backside is(or the size of the chick you pick up at the end of the night) they come in regular width and wide. I have two wides in my 5-1600 car and if you look in it looks like one bench going across the car.

i am happy with my PRP seats in my prerunner. i have 2 daily drivers. they are nice because they have low sides. i have looked at the Race-Trim seats in a buggy before. they looked nice, and the price is definitely better than mastercraft or beard

Race trim seats are total ripoffs of PRP and beard. While I was working at prp they were trying to order one seat at a time from us to send them over seas to be copied. Just like every other piece of garbage EMPI makes, their seats are china made knock offs of someone elses hard work.

Thanks for the input on the seats. It always helps to have people with first hand knowledge give their opinions.

I have a new pair of Race-Trims for a play/race car that haven't been used yet. For the price,I'd have to say the quality looks excellent. Even if they fall apart in two years, I figure I can buy another set and still be ahead pricewise compared to Beards.
As with most anything, proper protection(from the sun) and good cleaning will definitely help extend the life.My buddy's Beards are sun-rotted and falling apart, but they never get cleaned and are never covered when the car is stored.
I wish I could afford top quality Beards and the like, but my budget led my to try the RaceTrims. They may be rip-offs,(aren't PRP's just a rip-off of Beards as well?)but at least they copied the best.I guess your budget will have to be the deciding factor in the end.
