I want to build a truck for short tracks like at Crandon, it will be be a 2wd. I am looking to do eather a 108" or a 128" wheel base. What do you think and a reason why.

You need to check the rule book on the CORR website as all the classes are spec- even the stock classes.

The class that i am looking at running is a Sportsman class not a CORR class. The rule states:
4. WHEEL BASE: Stock wheel base measurement must be retained (+) or (-) 2".
I have two different veh in mind, just looking for some ideas on witch direction to go.

What class are you going to be running; Sportsman 2 or Sportsman stock?

i'm sure that rule is for sportsman stock, if so you want a short bed 1/2 ton truck to start with. get one with A-Arms

Thanks for helping me decide, I was leaning twords the shorter wheel base but I just needed some one elses point of view. I want to build a Classix and I am going to get a start on it in the next few weeks. I would like to make it to the Sept race in Crandon.
Any tips before I start :D

Are you going to spring crandon? If you are I will be happy to give you some pointers.
The shorter wheelbase will be better in classix because it will give you a better weight bias (larger % on the rear). It is especialy important with classics being 2wd.

You can find me in the racers pit by the blue Bronco #41. I will not be there until sat around noon. Eric shallbetter will be driving the truck on sat.

Second row back from the pit wall about half-way down. I have a 1600 car, err single. Will be pitted with Seefeldt, white Ford van and white 32 ft. enclosed trailer. I will be there Friday.
Nice connection... I put in enough road work... but would help on delivery if necessary.
