I've got my wire harness in my buggy wrapped in the plastic sprial wire wrap. I thought it was going to good. I can tell theres gaps in the wrap expose the wires. Especially around tight bends. The whole harness is removable. It's impossible to heat srink with the connectors and plugs on the end.
So what i'm looking for is a long lasting(years) electrical tape or wire wrap. I've seen a cloth type electrical tape used in OEM wire harnesses. Looked good even after many years. Not to sure what im looking for. But theres got to be something.
Thanks

I run the spiral wrap and then that half hose stuff over the top of it and never had any wire issue..

You could put wire loom over the spiral wrap, or there is a type of silicone tape that is supposed to seal to itself once installed.

Have you ever seen the stuff that looks like chinese finger? You can leave the ends on the wire if you don't have very many wires or you can use a bigger diameter finger. The stuff looks great exposed & will keep the wires from rubbing against anything. Unlike tape you can push the ends together & it will let the wires out freely. This makes it great when it is time to upgrade something. If god forbid you get a burned wire you can just take the wire out. It is also beneficial when you want to expose the whole loom. If anyone wants to know where to get it or wants a pic let me know.

check out del city or digi-key. they have several loom options, from heat shrink to mesh to self-sealing tape. also have numerous loom connectors to really clean things up.
