Before the big upgrades to the site and server, there was a previous, lower version forum. im very interested in reading some of the techincal threads, and was told that a few years ago there were stuff that would boggle the mind. also there was a thread about a guy, that would make drawing that would fully cycle, and run, and then ask for a consensus and then change it from there. he was makign his own vehicle from scratch. Some how i was lucky enough to find an old thread from the old days, but it oddly came up during a search on yahoo, and i have been tryn to search for an old forum index since. Is it possible, does anyone know how to get to those kind of old threads. im learning alot from my own build, and have questions that before i knew wat i was doin, flew over my head, but now would/could lead me in the right directions. thanks.

Since we switched to a login style forum (2001?) a long time ago NOTHING has been deleted. So the previous versions of forums data (your posts) is right here in front of you, now finding it in the seraches might be challanging.
Prior to that we had a simple linear guestbook. "The black and red days". If I recall right the latest version of that software only displayed the most current 100 or so posts and then dumps what is old.

The default sort for all posts is newest first but you can reverse that by clicking on > http://www.race-dezert.com/forum/images/firefox/buttons/sortasc.gif < next to Last Post. That would show the earliest post within that forum. It will go back to late March 2001.

Race-Dezert.com --- The answer to Americas prayers ! (old school stuff)
What you need to do is use www.archive.org --- this site offers, for free, the WayBackMachine --- this tool will allow you to view the REALLY old RDC stuff, it's sort of a pain to navigate, but using this service is a ton of fun. Here's an example of what there is to find:
