I am leaving each subsection open for posting in case anyone has questions that are specific to that part of the build. I will be adding those sections over time.
If anyone has any other questions please feel free to post here.

It is good to see someone giving the T-100 the recognition that it deserves. I myself have a 96 2wd T-100, and have been building it for my desert toy as well. I have installed a LT front end, and glass front and rear, plus some other little things here and there. Keep up the good work brother, and good choice on the right Toyota to build. See you in the desert.

interested to see your A-arm setup. have you considered using an 86-95 4wd spindle converted to a lift spindle?

I had Mark Newhan build the front suspension and used his old spindles he built that were on his Chevy. Click here (http://www.race-dezert.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7420)
And here are a couple of pictures before it was done. He modified the top mount on the spindles and it wasn't done in this picture. The spindle had to be taller and he made it a verticle uniball mount.
and I also attached a couple of pictures when after I painted and assembled everything.
I will have more details and pictures once I write the front suspension section.

Hey, when are you going to help us kick Patrick in the butt to get your old T-100 into shape! Only 236 more days until the Baja 1000! He's got some great pictures to work from here, you need to give him a ride or something to make him jealous!

Looking forward to seeing how the T100 project goes. A friend and I have been going down for every SCORE race for the past 3 years and have been going to Baja for 10+ years. Love the people and Baja and all the stories and experiences we have everytime we go. I have a T100 also and we are planning on building a race truck out of it (Only have our XR650R's for fun now). It's cool to be able to see a play by play review of your project. I'm in O-side also so maybe at the Baja 500 in June we'll have a chance to meet up and I can buy you a beer or 5. Keep the pictures coming!

Mini update....
Before our trip the the 1000 last year I decided to update the spindles on the front of the truck. The spindles were originally built by Mark Newhan for his Chevy and modified to work on my truck after he built new ones for his. The spindles used pins and hubs from Stock Car Products. They work good but the diameter of the pin is pretty small. I decided to get snouts and hubs that are the same as on the rear end of my truck. I had my friend Chris machine the snouts to fit over the existing spindle.
Advantages are that it's bullet proof now, and all the parts are interchangible from front to rear. I also have spare drive plates on the front hubs that would work on the rear now and the spare bearings I have work with all four hubs.
I can't find the pics of the finished spindles so I will post some later when I make the front suspension thread. I attached what the old spindle pin looks like and the used rear end snouts before we modified them to fit.

Hey there Curtis,
I was pleased to see your truck at the Oceanside premier :)
I'm wondering what kind of steering your t-100 uses?
It looked like some kind of beefy hydraulics, but I didn't look at it long.

nothing special, just the stock PS pump and a GM steering box. Works really good.

yes it's the one that mounts outside the frame on a stock GM truck.

how much did that whole build run you?
(not including the price of the truck itself)

Good question, I think I lost track years ago. I bought the truck for about $6k. I sold my class 7 truck for about $11k and that was spent on shocks, all the tubing and some other parts. And it's been a money pit ever since :D

yah but theyre cheaper than women right? plus theres benfits to ridin when YOU want. out of curiosity, do you mind the regular steering, moreso would it be beneficial now that youve driven it with the new box, to run a reduction box? im debatin it on my rig, think the benefit may be worth the effort

My steering is perfect. Inside the cab is all stock except for the steering wheel. The PS pump is the stock Toyota one (3.4 V6 engine) and I plumbed it to the GM steering box. No reduction box.
My race truck had a 2:1 quickener because I had to shorten the pitman arm. That made it harder to steer. I'm sure the stock PS pump on the 22R engine was the problem.
