I was wondering if any of you out there had refitted a ralley 4000 hella light with hid bulbs and how they work compared to the real things. I also was wondering who is the best person to do the mods and the price.

Thanks R.J.

I just had all 4 of my lights done by Vision X before our trip to the 1000. I will have more details up soon in the new project section for my T100.

The conversions retail for $360 per pair. www.visionxoffroad.com click on where to buy.

The lights worked great the entire trip. I wish I had done this years ago. I couldn't notice a difference in my converted lights compared to a normal HID.

Hey Last year I converted a set of 4000's with a philips HID conversion kit. I got it on ebay for $200 for two light's. Came with everthing needed and ran them all last year and are still great. I put them next to a set of hella 4000 HID lights and they were just as bright and the Euro beams are almost the same. The total to do two HID 4000's ended up being $190 for the 4000's and $200 for kit = $390 cheaper than one HID that is the way to go. I am going to convert all my lights on my Class 3 Bronco to HID.

CALL Micro Torch in (I think) San Clementi. He can convert any light on any car pretty much.

Does anyone have a solid source on a "convertion kit" Ballast, lamp, sockets to change the H1 to a d2s??.. I need to do (10) lights ASAP. I tryed E-bay, but not to sure on what i need for a complete kit or the quality of there stuff. I know people on here have done similar swaps, so I will listen to your recommendations..From what I heard it can be done for around $190 for a pair, as long as you have your 4000 lights already.

Just curious if anybody has done the conversion from standard Hella 4000 to HID with an aftermarket conversion? I know it won't perform quite like the real 4000 HID but for the lower price is it worth the money to go HID through the conversion?
