Robby has pics of his Dakar support on his web site:

I think choosing the H-1 is a smart choice over H-3 in North Africa eh? I believe the large truck is a Mercedes Unimog. Anyone know if it is classified as a T-3 or T-4? I'm assuming that it is entered in the truck class?

OK, Chase and Hemp, stupid question time..................how do the teams transport the whole contingency once it's been assembled, to the appropriate destination?

you'd have to think transport plane or ship. guess it depends who's paying and how much time is available.
good question!

I'm under the impression that the unimog and the two H1 are being shipped via freighter (boat) while the race car which is not 100% complete as of yet will be air freighted.
Also Robby's site added a "spy photo" of Cam's old chassis after a lot of work.

You mean the lack of Red Bull stickers on the cars?

The Truck is a Mercedes 1735 4x4, not a unimog. It is a T5 support truck. It is the one I used last year and was sold to Gordon Motorsports for their effort. As for TV this year please check the Dakar 2006 thread. I have listed a tenetative schedule.

Hey Darren
I hope you guys post some pic's of the "new secret compartment" on the T5 when you get the team website up and running!
Hopefully Robby lets you use it!

Some cool pics. It shows the inside of the support truck shower and a toilet. King shocks hanging on the wall for spares. Its pretty cool looking. they have Kings on the support truck. It shows a couple pics of the dakar racer. I found them on a rally site. Best of luck over there.

JrSyko, my humor did indeed fall flat and I apologize for the way it sounded. I meant no disrespect to Kash, quite to the contrary, I agreed with his thread. Without the aid of inflection or tone of voice, my post did sound offensive and I'm sorry.
