RG Dakar rumors

"Some time ago Robby Gordon had told us exclusively from its plans to the Rally Dakar 2006. According to unconfirmed rumors it is to have thereby problems with the financing now, so that its whole DAK acre commitment could stand for this year on the dump."

I translate that to mean that RG has run out of bucks for this year and won't be racing Dakar after all.

Thats not true. There is a car being built at his shop in Anaheim right now. It is a class one buggy with a Hummer H3 body. There are a lot of great people involved with the project, and it will be something to see.

I haven't followed this closely at all. Does RG running an H3 body mean he's getting GM as a sponsor or something?

I was just baiting Fly with something I saw on Dirk’s site. RG sure has a full plate, it would be interesting to see how he has organized his Dakar effort, it has to be huge.

They are just finishing up the Chase rigs now. RG will be real good. He is running Factory C6R motors that GM has optimized for the restrictor. 500+ HP

He has 5 sets of everything.
