hi, i have a huge favor to ask........does anyone in the OC area have a tire groover that they could let me use? i wanna take 2 of my baja claws and cut every other row of lugs off in the attempt to make somewhat of a paddle tire for glamis next month.

or maybe this will be way too much work? ive never grooved a tire and dont know how long the process is. the tires are 35's and the lugs are about 1" thick. let me know if this is even possible and if it is if someone can help me out. thanks a ton guys.

ahhh the smell of hot rubber, if it was me and a sand only tire i would take out two rows , better float

Its easy to do and doesn't take that long, you would want a wide blade ideally, it never hurts to put the tires in a hot garage first but its not really needed.

The tool doesn't cost a whole lot if you cant borrow one and have to buy
