I (think) I want to remove the front inner fenders/core support on my 2001 f150, anybody have any experience doing this? Is there any tricks/downsides to doing this? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Downsides are remounting all the headlights, radiator/ac condenser, hood, fenders, grill, and misc. things located on the core support/ inner fender wells.

I dont know about 01's. But on older f150 or trucks in general, it's a real easy way to start small and end up with a hugh mess. But if your building a full racer than its no big deal if you throw away all the stock stuff like lights, Rad., ac, and core support and build with only the basic being put back in.

How built is your truck? Is it really worth it to gain that 2" of uptravel? Is this truck still a daily driver? its a big can o' worms project.

i would cut it back at the fire wall and put a plate with a 2 tubing going out to radiator support unless your going to go all out and make a whole new radiator support but then its going to be a pain to get your headlight panel in the right place

Probably replacing it with one that isn't absolutely smashed.

if you want to keep that cab and not tear everything out you should be able to get a new roof skin reasonable

ya this truck hit a 8' tall road sign at about 75mph i know i was behind the wheel, i got lucky it only got the body not the frame and if it wasn't for the roof a new grill and hood would have fixed the problem.

well it shouldnt be to bad to put your new cab on i day that whole frame switch in 3 day working on it like 4 hours a day so you should be able to do that fast
