Carl Renezeder did a TV interview this morning with San Diego Channel 10 "ABC NEWS". This will air in the San Diego area this coming Wednesday, August 31st at 5PM and again at 6PM. He put on a nice show driving his Pro2 testing out the newly built CORR track. The News reporter was blown away... and covered with dirt!
The track has the famous CORR landrush start (heads-up drag race to first turn), six jumps (varying in size), two rhythm sections (WOOPS), banked turns, off-camber turn, shacane, fast straights, wide for passing, and lots of good track elevation changes. Track has plenty of traction with good native clay soil.
Great track!
Today Grandstand construction is more than 50% complete. You have good track visibility from most reserved seats. HOWEVER, I highly recommend selecting seats on the "upper/higher" side of the bleachers similar to most race venues. This will insure your best overall track view. I understand the Marketing for this race will kick-in next week.
Carl comments: "I really like the new track. With just a few more minor adjustments it will be as good, or BETTER than any CORR track on our circuit. Everyone's in for a treat"
I will post pictures within next couple of days. Frank
