1600cc Dual Port?

Does anyone have any concrete information as to if they are going to change the SCORE rule of single port 1600cc VW engines to dual port 1600cc VW engines, please let me know what you know, thank you.

talk to my engine builder and he says its gonna start for the 2006 score season. and they are gonna grandfather the single ports for 1 year. at present all other components to remain the same. carb will limit any benefits the dual port will give. don't worry until you have to change.

the problem is that we are building a new class 16 and we cant start making the engine until we know if it is going to be single or dual port.

so if i understand you correct, they will no longer allow single port??? i thought it was going to be either single port as they currently run, or dual port with a restrictor plate. i didnt hear anything about eliminating the single ports, just modifying the rules to accept the other.

Plan on building a dual port! They will start showing up in 2006. The problem is you will have to wait a little longer for them (FAT/Savage) to iron out the particulars.
