Ok I did a search but I found nothing so if there is such a thread please redirect these posts there please. Who is having new cars built? What is in store for deZert racing in the future? When I was at Kartek today I heard a little birdy say that a certain ex-protruck driver is in the process of selling his protruck and is about to take the "keys" to a Vanillo(sp?) built Baldwin like torsion TT. I heard this from a crediable source, I did not say the name of the driver that is getting it built because maybe Im not supposed to say anything. But his Protruck is for sale in the back of the Dusty Times.....

If he has his protruck for sell in the dusty times then it has to be rick johnson. Because he is the only one selling there protruck.

Yeah maybe at the Hesperia Airport like the last 3 Baldwin TT's were built at. I am curious who is responsible for the engineering design.

Brian Kudela of Light racing did all the engineering and design on the 3 Baldwin trucks. Other credible trucks of his design are Big Mac, Little Mac, Hunnycutts' class 8 Tundra, and parts of Dave Winner's prerunner.

Oh yeah I knew it was Kudella for the last 3 torsion sprung TT's but I was wondering who is responsible for the new TT design. By the way I met Kudella at last year's Off Road Expo and he was a very nice guy.

Tony Vanillo @ North American Off-Road in Hesperia and his team are the persons responsible for building the trucks, alot of unbelievable ideas with influences & Engineering from Brian @ Light Racing, with help from other companies on this board, the trucks are coming along nicely. We will post pictures when the time is right.(sorry Tony I had to say something)

See this birdy was not coo coo. Wow I do believe those trucks were/are some of the most technologically advanced trucks out there past/present. I believe that Dondel's truck and the Herbst AWD trucks are probably the other ones. Every time I see the Baldwin TT's these just blow my mind! Oh and is the Hesperia airport real small and on the left hand side of the 15 outside of Apple Valley? If so wow thats a small looking airport to be working out of.

I'm glad the rumor is true, it will be a breath of fresh air to see a new experty engineered and fabricated trophy truck in the desert. I wish Big Mac could come out of hiding, with freedom to use some better components, it would give everyone a run for their money.

Big Mac is out of hiding. Sitting at Renezeders shop. Hopefully he will sell it to someone that wants to race it. Carl bought it as a prerunner for the 1000 last year. Its a really cool truck.

The Hesperia Airport is in a valley on the southeast side of town - not close to the 15.

There are not too many pictures I could find, nothing of any great detail. I found some good videos though http://www.drivetechnologies.com/page6.html
How about a Skunkz feature on it John?

Ok at the Expo I saw the new Tubeworks TT that will debut in the future, saw piks of the CST TT and I also saw the Enduro TT. Hey Dave G did the Enduro truck get a new exhaust? I looked under and didnt see the 8 into 1. That truck had the most amazing sound!

I can partially answer the question about the Enduro TT, we spent some time today talking to Dave Ashley and they made a motor change as well as the exhaust change..

I don't know if this has been covered already, but Cam Theriot's new class 1 by RPS looked interesting. It has the most extensive use of a boxed lower chassis section to link the rear trailing mounts to the front lower mounts that I have ever seen.

Looks nice I dig the boxed plate lower "backbone" . I like your guys work alot.

This TT belongs to my family. Drivers are Danny, Jesse, and myself. The plate work is unreal. Those pictures dont do the car justice. Once the car is complete there will be many test miles before we even think about entering a race. The first race will most likely be a MORE race.
