Off road fundraiser for desert search & rescue

Just received this flyer today in my e-mail....

I use to ride this fundraiser several years ago when I still had my XR600 and it was a blast. Good people and a worthy cause. The proceeds from this event goes to the Sheriff's Morongo Valley Search & Rescue team, an all volunteer team that provides search and rescue services to the desert areas including Johnson Valley OHV area. The date of the event is October 1st & 2nd with staging at Soggy Dry Lake. Why not come out and support the people who some day may save you butt out there in the dez.

It's a great event. I have been going for about 10 years straight now. Me and my crew will be there. Look for the Brokedown Buggy Club stickers and antenna flags.

on the bottom of the flyer it says gren sticker required.....do you think they are going to really require it

How many miles is it? Is it a poker run or just a loop or what? Or do you just go out to where they set up and play around for the day? I've never heard of this event but it looks really fun, I'd love to come out.

RULES & REGULATIONS
Motorcycles, Quads, Rails & ATV's must have green Off-Road sticker. Helmets and seat belts must be worn at all times. No riding in the back of vehicles without proper restraints. Single riders only on ATVs and motorcycles. All vehicles must be licensed or have green sticker. Alcohol, guns or explosives are not allowed. Pets must be on leash and will not be allowed in Base Camp. The speed limit is 10 MPH around Base Camp and all other campsites

The last time I went to this event it was a poker run. About 45 miles as I recall but maybe their doing something different this year. You may want to give a call to the phone number provided or drop them an e-mail with your questions. In any event, it's all about raising funds to help support a volunteer desert search & rescue team so I'm there.
