when installing a custom exhaust system, is it paramount that the O2 sesors be placed in the same EXACT location to pass smog?

They need to be as close to factory as possible. Obviously before the cat, but the farther away from the exhaust manifolds (headers) the better.

Just don't install the O2 Sensor and when the check engine light comes on, put a piece of black electrical tape over the light and call it a day. ;)


That's the problem, I don't have any black electrical tape. By the way who gave you the specs on that quick tip?

You guys should go ahead and erase the entire thread. The exhaust system is done now...

The black electrical tape post gave me some comical relief after a hard days work!
