I've been doing some research on a hid conversion for my truck (05 Tacoma) and have settled on a bi-xenon kit. Hella makes one along with a few other companies. The bi kits use a mechanical hood that shields the bulb for low beam and uncovers it for high beam.
Anyone used the Hella kit or have any recommendations for other kits? Also where can I buy the Hella kit? I found lots of info but no prices.

Try EBAY. I found tons of them on there

I looked on ebay and found no actual Hella kits. The sellers will list Hella in the description but it is not a Hella product.
While doing a little more research last night I came across this web site, http://www.danielsternlighting.com/tech/bulbs/bulbs.html , some interesting info about conversions, this guy says the reflector in a lens designed for a halogen bulb will not shape the xenon light properly and the light will go where it is not supposed to, like into the eyes of drivers going the opposite direction.
The reflector logic makes sense to me....I may be better off sticking with the stock bulbs and getting some Lightforce HIDs
