Only use Ford or Motorcraft parts. Aftermarket sensors fail way too often. Buy good sensors and do the job once.

apply anti-sleeze to the threads of the new sensor.

Buy an O2 sensor socket ... makes 'em about a thousand times eaisier to take off.... Kragen or NAPA has 'em for very little.

I have 2 sensors.Crawled underneath, cracked the rear one loose. It's the one up closest to the engine that will probably give me hell. What about Bosch brand? I know the Ford dealer will get me for more! Thanx to all for the tips too!!!

Like I said before, I wouldn't use anything other than a Ford or Motorcraft sensor in my Fords. I work at a large independent repair shop & we're super-picky about the emissions/EFI parts we'll use. We've tried them all and no aftermarket parts(including bosch) work as well or as long as O.E. parts. Oddly enough, Bosch makes a lot of O.E. oxygen sensors for a lot of car manufacturers, but their aftermarket stuff still isn't as reliable.
