I was wondering, since there is a couple different companies that make the 2 inch hollow spindles, like cone, pro am, kreger etc.. Are they the same design? Would various hubs like cnc, pro am, cone, bti, etc be interchangable? Or are the hubs designed for the particular spindles?

All Of The 2 Inch Snouts On The Market Will Fit Any Of These Hubs. Karteks Snouts Have An Odd Thread Pitch Compared To The Others, That Are Interchangable With Each Other.

I have a set of ProAm(Kartek) snouts and they work with the CNC hub and brake set-up.

What the hell are you talking about??? They are threaded for a standard AFBMA (Anti-Friction Bearing Manufacturers Association) TN-12 Lock Nut. Check page 2279 in your Machinery's Handbook. Used by every other person making 2" hollow spindles unless they are doing an odd ball thread. Where ever you got that information, it is wrong.

Cnc Snouts Allong W/ Everyone Else That Have Made 2" Snouts For The Past 20 Years Besides Kartek Use A Certain Thread Pitch. (right Wrong Or Indifferent That Is What They Used). Kartek Ases A Different Thread Pitch Than They Do. So Kartek Is Not Interchangeable With The Others. Ir You Are Out In The Desert And For Some Reason Need A Nut You Will Be Hard Pressed To Find One. Because Most People That Wil Have Spares Will Have Them For The Cnc Style For The Simple Reason That It Is The Only One That Has Been Around For Years. Karteks Has Been Around For 1 Year. Kartek Makes Nice Parts. It Is Different. That Is What The Hell I Am Talking About!

What about Foddrill's,I'd suspect his are the same as Kartek since He actually makes some of the nuts for Kartek--Scott whats the deal? Ha,Ha.
