So I got a really good deal on a banged up 88' fullsize chevy. I pulled the motor and tranny and wiring harness, didnt take me long to realize that trying to get the harness/motor/tranny to work in another vehical would take countless hours. I started to search the Painless Wiring website and found they had a very simple harness for doing swaps like I am atempting. I am atempting to swap this motor/tranny/harness/ecm into a different vehical. If I use the painless harness, will I be able to still use the body harness to operate the lights and such, or will I have to rewire that from scratch?
Thanks

the painless kit we used to do our 73 chevy came with a fuse panel and everything so we wanted to rewire it but you do not have to. Just cut off what you don't want to use and leave the stock fuse block in and mount the new one in a different location.
