ebay item #7527749846. Has a "buy it now" price of $1531.75 for the model 180 SD TIG welder, part number Mil 907054 (delivered) with everything except the bottle and cart. Has anybody used this model for light fab work? Anybody know of a better price than this for a new unit? Thanks.

Tom,

You may also check around at your local welding supply distributers to comparison shop. Or contact 800-millerwelds to find an authorized dealer. Miller Electric also has a website. www.millerwelds.com. I personally have not used the 180SD, but for a "middle" of road tig welder it should be fine.

I have the welder and I got mine for 1600 otd from cyberweld 2 years ago and that was everything except a bottle. The price included the cart. It is a pretty good welder and has done everything I have thrown at it so far. A water cooler would be nice to have but if you are just doing light fab work and arent going to be welding non stop this weldor should work for you.

The same model with a cart; the 180 SD Runner, (sounds like a truck!) goes for $1675 on Cyberweld.com. BTW both Miller and Hobart prices go up tomorrow (Friday July 8th)...
