Alternator

OK i just got a new alternator for my volkswagon type 1 and every time i put on the fan and tighten the nut the fan keeps getting stuck so can any one help me solve this :mad:

Sounds like you need to shim it. AIR there are shims btwn that fan and the shoulder on the Alt's shaft. I think there is even a spec for the air gap.

got it it was the little spacer that goes into the alternator should have checked that before
