Looks like the alternator on the Blinger is taking a dump.... is there a place in OC where I can get rebuilt? Its already a 130 amp.... so I don't need to upgrade.... just get it rebuilt.

no body? after doing a little research.... I have found that they sell a 200 amp alternator for the ranger.... so I think I am going to upgrade to that. Does anyone know what size the stock alternator on a ranger is? And does anyone have any feedback on putting a bigger alternator in the truck?

in my experience the standard 4.0 alternator is a 95 amp unit.

i believe its like 95 amps stock as matt said. a stock ford taurus alternator is 130 amp and can be beefed up from there. thats what we are using on our rangers.

ryan - there is a guy named ron at rb perfomance products (520)669-6411 and he is at the long beach hi performance swap meet every month... he does alts and starters and he is very reasonable and they all have very good warranties... i bought a starter and alt from him for my old chevy prerunner and never had any problems with it.

the swapmeet is this weekend is you are interested:
