I have a 96 Bronco and I left it parked while we went to the SNORE race this weekend, I went to pull the lever into gear and it would not move. I went through the fuses and found if I remove the fuse that controls the shift engager it will shift but the speedo does not work and it shifts hard. Help save me some trouble shooting time. Thanks' Ron

Does that one have the switch off of the brake pedal to move the shifter? The one that Ford installed to be a "safety" item. Maybe that took a crap...
Or...did I read that wrong- the shifter moves but the truck doesn't...
How did you do in Caliente?

I think you already identified the problem yourself in the title of this thread. :P

If you are on a hill and put it park some automatic trans can get stuck in park.

Mike' yes that is correct, the lever will not move. We had a blast in Caliente, unfortunately we started like 40 minutes late due to a crank seal taking a dump at the start line, thank god Deen racing who was lined up behind me was able to see the oil pouring out. We just went out to have fun after that and we did. I lost the brakes like 15 miles from the finish and that was pretty scetchy on those mountain trails. I just walked outside and pulled the plug from the pedel, thanks it works. Ron Plunkett
