I have looked at a lot of pictures and read about it and I am confident that I understand what its for, where the pivot points go, and the geometry. What I can't seem to figure out is what you use to steer and where it gets mounted. I doubt its a rack and pinion, it seems like a stock type steering box could be used. I have only seen two pics where this is visible and their both different. Can someone explain it, or better yet, do you have a pic that shows the correct way to set it up?

Most of the 1450 guys run a stock steering box, just a link between the pitman arm and passenger side of the swinger. Alot of the 7 guys run an aftermarket Chevy saginaw box worked over by Howe. There are also some guys that run a rack with the swing style steering set ups, maybe B. Manfroy (shoe) can chime in and show some pics of his set up.

Pics compliments of Giant Motorsports:

Giant offers a kit where you can buy the swingers only, and eliminate alot of the guess work, definately not a bad idea if you arent confident in the build. www.giantmotorsports.com

I guess I'v seen three pics because I've seen those two, I saw another one where the steering link was welded to the link that connects the swingers, and it didn't seem like the best way to me. It seems like it would be pretty straight forward to hook up a r&p between the swingers, but It would probably be a lot of extre without much gain, right?
