It's a shame that you feel the need to attack someone for asking a simple question. If you don't want to help someone (that, I feel, is what the shop section is about), then don't respond to their posts.
Also, I wouldn't go telling someone that their post(s) are lame. The only "lame" question is a question not asked. If you haven't got that feeling here on RDC, then maybe you haven't been around for a while. Your comments reveal your own immaturity as a person and as business owner. If your business performs gear installs, why not help him out??? Plus, I didn't think this site was developed and managed by MFS and you could regulate as you feel...Is it???
Hemp, try J&S Gear in Huntington Beach (714) 841-4545. They did a gear install for me many moons ago and it worked fine.

I have had work done by both PDC and J &S and they both do good work. J &S was a little flakey with their scheduling, but things happen. Overall I have been real happy with PDC.

BajaWaldo is exactly right.....Hemp asked if anyone could "recommend" a shop which is exactly what this forum is for....opening the yellow pages will only tell you who paid the most money for advertising, not the true quality of their work or reputation for customer satisfaction.....if you don't have something worth contributing, then don't....
Hemp, it might be a little farther from you but I can handle gear swaps at my shop in Montclair...PM me or call my shop at (909) 624-9930 and let me know what you need....I'd be more than willing to help.
and BTW, it's a t-h-r-e-a-d not a tread...

Dude... lighten up. This is not a lame thread at all.. this is great section to find out what shops are supporting desert racing, or are run by desert racers... I'd rather spend my money at a shop known to go work by the RaceDez crew... especially one that supports racing than just whip through the yellow pages and take a guess.

mfs - consider this your first warning. Your post was not necessary and will not be tolerated by RDC staff.

PDC in Brea does great work as well as J&S in HB. They just did the gears for my '01 F-150. Dropped it off in the morning and it was done by 2:00pm.

sorry, that was a little harsh. just seams like is the same thing. one guy says goto this shop (here's 10 pics of there work) the other guy says no they suck go here etc. lets talk tech, not my shops better that yours. i felt that it was in the wrong secton thats all, sorry maybe i woke up on the wrong side of the bed today. i read on here not to samelesly self promote, and all these shop get free adertivement all day long on here, there is a link section with a whole bunch of shops, i like reading about guys doing it them selfs and the probems they have. how about asking about doing gears yourself. i do the gears on my trucks. but when guys call the shop i send them to:( not going to say because that would be free ad.)

I will second PDC's work. I have had Jay install gears on my f-150. Later when one of my reigndeer(SP) bolts broke in the pumpkin and fried my ABS sensor and Limited slip he installed new parts and I forgot my wheel lock and he said don't worry about we will just pull the axels out attached to the rims. He is great. In in the morning and done by afternoon. Give Jay a call.

Which one was it, Rudolph, Dasher, or Prancer? I think you meant Ring Gear bolts....not trying to be a dick, just informing you so you know....it actually made me laugh pretty hard.... :D
