I have a piece of 1" tube that needs to have two 45 degree bends put in it. I dont have a bender and cant get ahold of my friend who does. I called Total Chaos and they said they are too busy. I am in Corona. Anyone in Corona or Riverside that can do it today or tomorrow? Thanks.

DMZ can help you out if you still need it. Send me an e-mail at tim@dmzfab.com and I'll do the bends for one In- N- OUT burger without onions!

Seriously, it's no big deal, send me an e-mail and I will take care of it for you.

Tim

holy crap I knew I was running my old shop all wrong, the real money apparently is in just bending the tube and sending the customer on his merry way

My thoughts exactly.....$30 bucks to make two bends!!!! $10 of it must go towards the vaseline or KY....at least I would hope....

Let's see $75 per hour... Should take no more than 15 minutes. $75 divide by four that's $18.75 for both bends. $30 is still good. We would have charged a our minimum of $35

Well, no offense Alan but I've always felt that if I help people out with smaller jobs, like two simple bends, and don't break down my hourly rate down to the second, those customers are more likely to become repetitive customers and use my services for larger jobs where I can make money.....especially when dealing with a fellow racer or RDC member. Just my opinion and it seems to work...I don't advertise and I have a 3 month backlog on work from repeat or referred customers....

Hah, Yea I think 30 is a little much but I probably would have paid 10 or 15 bucks. Tim was cool though and did it for free. Took about 15 minutes. Much appreciated.

$10 or $15 is reasonable...... I would have done the same as Tim for an RDC member or racer in a pinch....and I'm sure you'll think of Tim the first time you need something else done and would have no problem paying for his services because he took care of you in a bind....props to Tim from DMZ :D

cost of the roof is what drove me to buy a big piece of dirt and build a shop...so cal property values/ rents are ridiculous.

I didn't think so much hooplah could be raised over bending a single 1" piece of tubing for my light bar. Geesh.

Ok now this is funny, you didn't tell me the tube was for Matt's truck. Matt or Ryan should have just sent you to me in the first place.
