Broken coil spring

has anyone ever broken a fabtech coil spring on a full size.. broke mine today..not driving hard, just around town.. sounded like the shock hoop cracked. when i looked, it was the spring, but it stayed in the bucket

i had a buddy that broke a fabtech coil on a ranger a few years back. it can happen.
