im looking for what i think is called an air over hydraulic pump... we are converting our protools bender to hydraulic.. We have everything but a pump and my friend was talking about using compressed air to power the pump... ive found a few on ebay but know nothing about them so any info would be grate, and were on a budget so looking for the best bang for our buck

Air over Hydraulic Pumps--Enerpac Turbo or Fenner Spx, either of these will power you sufficiently. You're looking for at least 10 cu. inches of oil a minute. Available all over...Grainger,Mcmaster, Surpluscenter.com, do a google search on them and you'll find suppliers. There are some other budget brands avail. but some are not rebuildable.

even with the best enerpac air/hyd pump you are not going to get a smooth shaft velocity...its going to be notchy and slow compared to electric...I just built a pump system using an enerpac pump and cylinder and it works great but its slow and repeatability isnt precise...for a bender where repeatability is most likely improtant I would go with with an electric pump.
