King 2.5 coilovers. King's closed today. Jerry at Camburg says SAWs run 7wt, and the Bilstein oil is the best. Anybody know what is supposed to be in Kings? Can I get it from a cycle shop today rather than have to wait for it to be shipped? We would like to test tomorrow and that's all we need. I found 7wt at Aftershocks locally, but I want to make sure it the right stuff before I buy 5 gallons of it.
Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know what Kings call for but if you are changing the oil in all four of the shocks, I think you'll be fine running the 7wt.....I can't imagine that there is a huge variance in the viscosity between manufacturers....wish I could help you more....

Oil is tested at 2 temps per ISO...40C and 100C...the 40C is arbitrary and doesnt hold much use to people since oil is made to be used at an elevated temps so the 100C number is the number to care about...hence the reason shocks need to warm up to work right and dialing in cold shocks is a waste of time.
Vis @ 40C, 100C (units are cSt)
King 21.9, 5.19
Good Speed 11.2, 2.66
Chem Arrow 22.7, 4.53
SAW (champion) 19.3, 5.24
Edlebrock 17.3, 4.25
One of those oils is much better then the others!

No kidding!! Cheapest I found was BelRay 7wt for $9/qt and about puked! Brett charges $15 for a whole gallon! Prolly woulda been cheaper with overnight shipping even. I think we're OK now though, fellas... We scrounged enough amongst our friends to get two shocks worth, which is all we really need. Thanks for your help! Man I love this place!!!
