i have a 2004 4.3 with the 4 sp.auto and a bunch of wiring harnesses. does anyone have a simple easy to read wire schemematic .i have all the boxes, but can't figure out what i don't need . its going into a toy, race truck i have. so just need the basic things. power, fuel, efi . lights , fans, acc. gauges ect. (not for street)
ps. i know this is my first racetruck, just using stuff i have.

You're not going to find an easy to read diagram. Late model engines have so many different control modules it'll drive you nuts. My recommendation would be to find an outfit that can build you a harness that has only what you need. It'll probably cost you 5 to 8 hundred dollars, but will be well worth it. I transplanted an EFI 5.0L from an 86 T-bird to a Ranger and did it by removing all the unecessary wiring from the stock harness. MY GOD what a pain in the.... Keep in mind, that was with a drivetrain 18 years less sophisticated than the one you're working with.

I am about to start on a 4.3 project myself. Supposably (thats a word, right?) you only need a few wires, like the O2 sensor, throttle position and just a few others. I have heard the $120 factory service manual has the diagrams you need.
