my stock temp guage has ceased working, and i can't figure out why. all wires and fuses are good, and i put a new temp sensor in the block. seems like the guage in the cluster has simply died.
i was looking into just putting an aftermarket guage in, since i do have a half built custom dash (with a new and working VDO guage for the fuel cell in it). my question is, is there a sender that will go into the stock location, and work with an aftermarket (VDO?) guage? i've had no luck with the few shops i've talked to...or is there another alternative for temp sender location? i was told that i can't use the stock sender with an aftermarket guage (kinda makes sense, not arguing that point), so they are properly calibrated. anyone? helton, dan vance, fish, what types of temp guages do/did you run, and how were they hooked up?????
