Does anyone know of any companies or people that sell or would be willing to part with a pair of these springs? I am looking for a pair of 500lb, 3"ID springs that are 20-22" in length.

I believe that Eibach only goes up to 18" and Hypercoil would be able to make them, but there is currently a 26 week lead-time. Plus, I really cant afford to spend the money it would probably cost to have custom coils made -- unless they are about the same cost as the off the shelf ones :)

Any info would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Andy

Andy ... call and talk to Mike Kim "ivan" over at KING. I know they offer some longer spring lengths than what Eibach and Hypercoil make. I just picked up some 19" 700#'s for the corporate cruiser.

Check with Betts as well as Duer Carolina as they supply A LOT of the springs you see on vehicles.

Sorry I didn’t get back to your i.m. but I got the springs form King. Now be aware, I would be a little reluctant to totally copy my rear end setup, (thou my geometry is 100% perfect). One of the things that could be improved on is the leverage ratio of the shocks. I am not 100% sure of these numbers but I believe the lower trailing arms are about 62" long and the coil over mounts at about 28" aft and the bypass at about 34" aft. If I had it all over to do and money for longer shocks wasn’t a issue I would build it with longer shocks and they would mounted further back on the arms. I am not 100% sure if it would be that big of an improvement but I know that it would add more gross DAMPENING and that is a improvement.

The reason I go into all this is if you use the same springs as I do and your fulcrum isn’t in the same place you could be wasting some money.

Hey, anyone with 100% perfect rear suspension geometry deserves a little leeway on the vocabulary, right?

Hey Josh,

About 6 months back, I decided to run the divider nuts down to the point where the rear was sitting on the lower 500lb spring (not running the combined rate) at ride height. After taking it out for a few runs, there was a night a day difference in the way the truck handled -- less squat w/ a full tank, cornered better, etc, etc. Unfortunately, since they are only 18" springs, I would go into coil bind before the rear bottomed out. So after talking to you, I realized that running the single rate at ride height, rather than the combined rate is direction I needed to go in. And to accomplish this, I would need to run a longer coil to avoid coil binding.

Dont worry, I wasn't going to switch to the same rear rate you are running just because you whooped ass this weekend :)
