How/Who would i need to talk to regarding the recalibration of my odometer for the larger tires i have now. I went from a 205/75/R15 to a 215/75/R15 on my 2001 S-10. I know companys make chips or computers that can change the changes of larger tires back to stock.

Thanks, Sean

I really dont think it would be worth it for you. You can just figure out when you drive by one of those speed signs and do the math.

I don't know about actually getting it recalibrated. But if you want to just know, call the DMV. For a small fee they can put it on a dyno out in the parking lot, and give you a print out that tell you how much your speedo is off for every 10mph. I don't know that the DMV actually owns these special dynos, they have a couple of guys travel around to different locations every week, you would need to call and find out when and where...

This has already been discussed in a previous thread and a new thread is not really necessary. Your speedometer is off no more than 3% - closer to 2%. This is well within the acceptable range. The CHP considers theirs within serviceable spec if the reading is within 4 mph of actual. They test theirs every 30,000 miles or 90 days, whichever comes first. Even at 100mph, your speedometer is only going to be off by no more than 3mph. That is hardly worth worrying about and it's doubtful that even a calibrated speedometer will be that accurate at higher speeds.
