I have a chevy steering box and i am going to use it with the pitman arm pointing away from the steering input. The way i have everything set up witht the slider the steering wheel works opposite, i turn to the right and the wheels turn to the left. I was wondering if there is a easy way to change the direction of the input from the steering wheel?? If there is no easy way around it. I would need to re do all the set up that have done, i am sure after alot of work i can flip the box around and make it work, but i want to use that as a last resort. Any help ???

add a couple gears in the steering shaft, instant reverse.

There are rear steer GM PS boxes. You can use the input shaft and the gear from one of them in a front steer box if you match the gearbox series. Talk to Lee Mfg or Howe about this, I'm sure they do it from time to time.
Also, SCout II PS boxes have fwd pointing pitman arms. The problem with them is scarcity and a unique pitman shaft length. Just the guts from one would do what you want it to though.

ill look into it and see if its not to expensive or comlicated, if not then ill just flip the box upside down. Take more work than expected but we shalll see ...

My buddy Tate at San Mar Eng (http://http://WWW.SMERACING.COM) made one for me and it is real nice. It clamps on a 1.5" tube. Give him a call, he will be happy to make one for you the same as mine or custom.

Thanks for the help huys but i got it figured out. Since my car has the tierods on the back of the spindal i need a regular steering box witht the pitman arm facing foward and that will give me the turn in the right way. All squared away hope it works.
