have a 94 ford bronco just extended the ttb's to 8" put in king coilovers and bypasses along with bump stops. Removed old fenders and wells and put on a set of glassworks fenders. The problem; the tranny and speedometer dont work, shifts real hard in to every gear and speedometer not at all. Checked all wiring and all fuse's any ideas would help.

check to make sure you didn't take any grounds off with the fenders and forget to reconnect them.

Thanks for the help. We have also taken it to a shop and had all the computers and wires checked but will check the grounds again.

Your problem is the speed sensor,or the wires running from it to the computer. If the rear is stock it's possible that the speed sensor wires where accidentally cut, or the sensor wiring shorted and the sensor was ruined.

Did the shop you took it to check the signal from the speed sensor to the computer? Is your "check engine" light coming on?

Engine check light is not on. Speed sensor was replaced and checked.About the grounds, if one was disconnected would that show up on the computer tests that they ran on it.

When you say "speed sensor", are you referring to the "vehicle speed sensor" (VSS) that's on the rear differential? Did the problem start right after you replaced it? If so, maybe you got a bad one?
From the little I know about VSS, it helps the tranny (I assume it's an E40D if you have a 94) determine when to shift. If the VSS is bad, the tranny won't work right.
You might also want to ask about it at the www.fullsizebronco.com (http://www.fullsizebronco.com) forum. And there's a Ford tranny forum that might have some more info at ttp://www.network54.com/Forum/260730?it=0
Hope this helps.

"About the grounds, if one was disconnected would that show up on the computer tests that they ran on it."
Nope. You have to check them manually one by one.

"ground locations"
G100 LH front of engine compartment, on upper radiator support
G101 RH front of engine compartment, on front of fender apron
G103 Lower RH rear of engine, on starter motor mounting bolt
G104 Rear of LH fender apron
G106 Lower RH front of engine
G107 Lower LH front of engine
G108 RH front of engine compartment, on upper radiator support
G200 Behind bottom of RH cowl panel
G201 Behind bottom of LH cowl panel
G202 Behind bottom of LH cowl panel
G400 LH rear corner of cargo area, near rear lamp assembly
G401 Under center rear of vehicle, on rear crossmember
the two I'd be concerned about are G200, pink wire with orange stripe, and G100, black wire.
btw - is the ABS light on??

It started after we had the front end done. It ran fine before we did the front end. Also the radio doesn't work ethier.

C202 LH rear of engine compartment, in safety wall
The only thing I found in common with the radio is a common connector. If its not connected, you'll have no signal from the speed sensor to the pcm, no signal from the speedometer module to the pcm, and no power to the stereo.

The abs light is on. The radio is working know it only had a burnt wire from welding in the front.

Did the shop that you took it to go for a drive in it with the scanner hooked up? The PCM gets its signal seperate from the Speedo. It may help you to track down problem if scanner shows speed reading.

Yes the shop took it for a drive when they had the tester hooked up. He even put a knew speed sensor in it for the drive. When he tested it he said that all the modules and electrical was working fine.
