Matt-

Did you use the stock hangers in the stock location to extend the wheelbase?

jesse, the front hangers are the stock ones. i cut em off and moved them forward 3 inches. the wheelbase is about 4 inches overall longer than stock..........about 3 in the rear and 1 in the front.

Hey Matt
Have you thought about maybe shortening the bumps in the front to 3"? Maybe it cycles clean, but it looks like the arm when it hits the bump wont be pushing straight on the bump. From the pic it looks like the arm will push the end of the shaft UP more than IN. You could bend the shaft on the bump. Just curious, but pictures can be decieving.

yeah, ive thought about shortening it but for now ill let it go i think. from the time the arm first contacts the bumpstop to full compression of the stop, the pad only slides 1/2 inch on the control arm. im not to worried about it. ive seen other front ends that the bump slides WAY more and they dont come apart. but we'll see i guess. http://www.race-dezert.com/vb3/attachments/old/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Just run it. Good luck. Carolyn was going to try and run this one, but since I broke her truck at the poker last weekend I don't think she will make it.

1/2" doesn't sound too bad, but it would be nice if it didn't slide at all. I think in the common configuration that's nearly impossible. What Light Racing did on that truck displayed in their booth at Expo starts to make more sense. Seem to recall a Nye Frank rear set-up with a similar arrangement.

Broke a rod I think. What ever it is sounds bad. But at least it did not vent the block. I don't think she will ever let me drive it again.

LOL Frank.......all you have to do is FIX IT..........oh and maybe take her to dinner or get her some flowers or some crap like that....and your back in it!!!

bummer for sure, good luck in the repair process and hopefully the block and or crank arent damaged too bad.
