DONAHOE RACE TRAILER AND RACE TRUCK STOLEN!!!!!!!!

This Morning 9-17-04 I get to my shop and our inclosed race trailer with Bob Graham 7s Toyota inside was gone. The City of Anahiem didnt tow it so someone has Ran off with a 4 time Championship 7s Truck and our trailer. The tralier is inclosed all white with NORWALK TOYOTA on the side. A huge &@) on the front. If ANyone knows anything or sees anything let me know as soon as possible. 714-632-3033. The Race Truck inside is our baby and I want her back.

Its a White inclosed 26' trailer with a huge 720 on the front and back and Norwalk Toyota in red on the sides.

We found our stolen trailers and race car in the San Bernardino area so anybody out that way keep your eyes open, especially out along the 10 fwy heading to Banning. There are tons of small used car(and lots of thieves) dealers out in that area. Both our trailers had been repainted and one had already been resold. Both trailers had also been reregistered which seems to be a very easy process for a trailer.

Sorry to here that sir, I will keep my eyes open down here in M town, I live along the freeway near lake Elsinore. The good thing is that it is a one off item (the truck) so repainting the truck and taking it ANYWHERE will not work.

You might want to check the surrounding businesses. They might have surveillance cameras and can show you who took it. I know you have lage businesses around your shop. Check into it.

That's all I have. I was at the teletype desk last night and I got a message from LASO saying they recovered a trailer that was stolen out of our city---our stolen entry said it had a baja1000 truck in it...so I was curious and hopped on RDZ....went to the lookout section and whala...saw that Kreg had posted about the truck/trailer. SO.....rest assured...it's found now. All it said was that it wasn't damaged/stripped/or burned and no plates were missing-- didn't say anything about the truck inside or not....so, guess we'll have to find out from Kreg or the victim on the stolen report to give us that info.

The trailer was found in Long beach but no truck inside. The trailer was stripped. We are worried that the truck might be on an overseas container bound for Austrailia or South Africa or someplace. The word is out in Mexico. I called everone I know down there.... We have made a Reward for the truck. First person to Find it gets a year worth of CO-driving Duties in our new Race truck for Next year. So Spread the word. The Truck that was stolen Isnt Really worth a whole lot..Maybe 25,000.00 but it has huge sentimental Value. I built that truck in 1989 and it have won 4 going on 5 score 7s championships. Bob Graham, Brady Helm,Mike Horner,Cory Susag, And Doug Sewart have all won in that truck. Its just a great old truck that never quits on us And I would hate to see it go out like this. SO any help would be great....

This is an afterthought... but if I had any sort of major investment ($$$ and time) in any type of custom car or truck the first thing I would install is LoJack! Thieving bastards are always looking for something to steal and no amount of security can really prevent theft if the crook is willing to do anything to steal. At least with LoJack you've got a pretty good chance of getting something back within a few hours of you noticing it's been stolen.

Whats the latest? I friend of mine said he saw a race truck on a faltbed w/no skin, tires and lots of parts missing on the E91 freeway today, he wasnt sure if that was the truck though. He said it had a white frame. This was at around 4:15 pm in the long beach area.

Well I have good news and bad news...., but suffice it to say that the race truck was recovered yesterday, however it was stripped. It was either divine intervention or a phenomenal case of coincidence, but Mike called Deputy Steve Williams of the LA County Sheriffs, who is also a racer and former competitor of ours in Stock Mini, to be on the look out for the truck. Steve got off the phone with Mike, walked into the yard at his station and there was the truck sitting on a flat bed tow truck, having just been picked up as an abandoned vehicle in a residential neighborhood near Carson. It dropped right in his lap. So the truck is safely in the hands of the Sheriff's dept., but stripped and stripped by someone who knew what they wanted and what they were taking.

I wanted to extend our sincere thanks to all of your for your help. It was great to see how so many called upon anyone they could think of to help us find that truck. At least we know for every POS slime ball out there, there are several good hearted racers that are for the sport and good competition.

Thanks again to all - I'll let Kreg give the specifics of what was taken, and maybe in your travels you might come across one of these items and we can nail this SOB and expose him or her for the rat that they are.

There is not enough of the truck left to be able to race the 1000. Kyle is right it was Bob's truck that was stolen, and both the 7S and Stock Mini are in the hunt for the championship - Bob is ahead in points, but also in a points battle for 7S - so they are going to have race the 1000 and have to borrow a truck to do so, which sucks, but at least there are some options for Bob and Mike to consider.

The front suspension that Kreg built is there, but all the shocks, springs, rear end, fuel cell, ever single body panel, incl the doors, and more is gone....the team just doesn't have the funds to redo everything prior to the race unfortunately.

It is nice to at least have the truck itself back and we feel good that it's home and Bob and Mike are relieved - the hunt for the thieves is on-going as well. The truck will need some serious TLC to get back to it's prior self. However, whoever stole it wanted the parts and that was it - so it wasn't cut up or damaged or anything like that and it will be able to race again.
